This is about eating enough, not eating less.
There's no calorie limit here on purpose.
What you've got in
Keep a rough list of what's actually
sitting in your fridge and cupboard, and craving suggestions will prefer using it up over
sending you shopping for something new.
Shop receipts
Scan a receipt to build up real price
history for what things actually cost, shop by shop.
Discover
Swipe on what sounds good — this
teaches Cravate your taste, the same way rating a meal does. Skip anything you're unsure about.

Optimise for
Naming a specific chain item works too — type it in above and
this decides honestly whether recreating it beats just buying it.

If it can't beat what you were going to buy, it'll say so and pick you the best thing on the shelf instead.

Not loggable yet — just a placeholder so a batch-cooked meal or
leftovers don't get forgotten.
RELEASE NOTES
Cravate — 28 Aug 2026
Everything since 22 Aug, all in one place.

Levels
Your level caps how hard a recipe you'll be given, so you never get handed
something you'll abandon halfway. Each meal teaches one new technique.
Rate a meal 3★ or higher and it counts.
Anything lower doesn't — no point levelling you up on something that went wrong.

places, memory, fridge, targets, purchase history and what you've logged. Copy the code,
paste it on your other phone or laptop.
Privacy
Your ratings, level, fridge, memory and feedback are stored in this
browser. They only leave it if you sign in above to sync across devices —
then your profile is stored on the server too, tied to your email, so it
can be pulled onto another device.
When you ask for a suggestion, the text you typed plus your budget, time
and equipment go to Google's Gemini API to generate the answer. Nothing
that identifies you is attached there, and those requests aren't logged
or stored by Gemini.
A small number of anonymous usage events (that a suggestion was asked
for, a meal was logged, an item was added to the fridge, and similar) are
sent to the server so the app's actual usage can be understood — never
the content of what you typed, only that the action happened. If you're
signed in, these are tied to your account; if not, to a random device id
that isn't linked to anything else about you.
Feedback stays on your device unless you tap the email button, which opens
your own mail app so you can see exactly what's being sent.
Receipt scanning: the photo is sent once to generate a text list of
items and prices, then discarded — it isn't stored on the server or kept
anywhere except briefly in memory to process it. Only the resulting text
(shop, items, prices) is saved, and it's saved on this device, same as
everything else. Crop out card numbers, loyalty barcodes or anything else
you don't want read before scanning.
Clearing your browser data deletes everything, permanently.
